HDP urges masses not to lose faith in Nigeria Electoral System

PRESS RELEASE

The passing of the card Reader and other electronic voting devices into law.
VICTORY FOR HOPE PARTY AND VICTORY FOR THE POOR masses IN 2019 ELECTIONS.

Hope Party while rejecting the new pegged N5 Billion presidential campaign expenses in attempt to commercialise elections and engage in vote stealing or buying in the coming 2019 presidential election, wish to congratulate Nigerians and members/leaders of our great party in their resilience and insistence through lawful litigations, persuasions and advocacy in and out of court for the institution and entrenchment of the needed pillars of sustainable democracy as exemplified in the long pending suit No. FHC/ABJ/CS/627/2017 between HDP vs The National Assembly, INEC and the AGF, before Hon Justice Kolawole (now ACJ) seeking the legal institution and recognition of the use of electronic voting as a condition for our continued participation in the hijacked democracy in Nigeria by the exploitative capitalists now in power.

It is our believe that the electronic voting system will eliminate or curtail the prevalent vote stealing and swapping during collations of results at elections and will guarantee a free and fair election and cause a break from the old order/guards.

Our unshaken believe and resolve from the onset to first tackle the issues inhibiting the growth of sustainable democracy, good leadership and governance has since our registration as a political party has manifested in this result following concessions by the parties in court with our party on this issue and the good news today to the glory of God as our children yet unborn will benefit from this effort which the ruling party may want to take credit as votes will now count at elections towards putting in place a new leadership in our beloved country Nigeria.

It should be recalled that our great Hope Party have played great roles and is instrumental in the opening up of the political space through its successive cases in courts for the entrenchment of the present multi-party liberal democratic system in our effort to assist in loosening the heated polity that has given rise to the increase in the registration of more political parties in recent times.

We had in other occasions taken up other issues in court including the then President Obansanjo’s PDP ‘do or die’ politics of 2007 Presidential Election on being registered then as well as at the 2011 presidential election heralded by the fuel subsidy scam over which our party took on the government at the time as well as the anti-craft agency who looked the other way while the humongous scam was foisted on Nigerians. We also in 2015 presidential election challenged the attempt by the ruling party to procure a security advice from the military as excuse to postpone the scheduled presidential election and the enforcement of the use of card readers after it was budgeted for and which the present APC ruling government benefited to come into power at the centre today but has since grossly abused it.

In our continued quest for an orderly liberal democratic system and effort to engage government of the day in shaping its policies and programs in the overall interest of the generality of the masses and people of Nigeria and as we look forward to the hearing on 27/11/2018 of the pending suit no. FHC/ABJ/1028/2017 between HDP vs the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the Chairman EFCC and the AGF, seeking an order of mandamus to compel the President to reorganise, dissolve and/or probe the schewed and corrupt manner the present Police controlled EFCC carries out its anti-corruption fight in clear abuse of established laws and rule of law and its use and deployment of some named and known rogue elements as officials and prosecutors adept at blackmailing hapless respectable members of the society including the Judiciary/court, using media trials to divert attention to cover up the real issues and as instrument of terror in their operations.

In the coming General Elections and more particularly the Presidential election in February, 2019, it is Hope party’s wish to pursue a revolutionary change or restructuring in the political economy of our country from the present exploitative capitalist economic system to welfarist wealth redistribution economic system to end poverty and check the growing drift and economic crisis in the country presently.

We wish to notify all stake holders including INEC, the Press/Media, the earlier so-called major political parties funded by corrupt proceeds and patronage of successive governments, and other such like capitalists in ideology that we (the welfarist Hope Party of the poor masses and 87 million reported poor Nigerians) owe it a duty to Nigerians to enlighten and draw their attention to the age-long deceit and gang up of our retired/past leaders and the elites  in their conspiracy to continue to feast on the inherited exploitative and corrupt capitalist system without reforms to sustain and perpetuate themselves and cronies in power to the detriment and impoverishments of the long suffering masses thereby widening the gap between the rich and the poor and the accompanying inequality.

It is therefore our party’s resolve to sue on any attempt to trespass, undermine or confuse the failed present exploitative capitalist economic system with the Hope party’s initiated welfarist wealth distribution ideological economic system for a new political economic system and new order beginning from May, 2019 to end poverty and the present exploitative capitalist economic system in Nigeria.

The choice before the longsuffering poor masses of this great country at the 2019 Presidential election must be the choice between continuing with the present exploitative Capitalist system breeding corruption, looting of state treasuries, kidnapping on the streets, drug trafficking, militancy, terrorism, etc. and the new choice of welfarism (welfare for all) based on wealth redistribution, interest free funds to all SMEs, the unemployed, widows and the aged to ensure a poverty free and egalitarian society with our God-given enormous wealth as a Nation.

We assure all Nigerians that with the legalizations of the Card Reader and other electronic voting devices that change in leadership again this time is guaranteed and this time the people will be the ultimate winners to make for and usher in a new order and restructure of governance as they vote to end poverty and the present exploitative capitalist system.

LONG LIVE NIGERIA
GOD BLESS HOPE PARTY.
